My name is Samantha Kearns - owner, designer and maker of Spreading Sonshine.
I am a wife to Austin and Mom of 4: Brady, Kenny, Ruby here on Earth and Sonny in Heaven. After my sweet baby, Sonny, unexpectedly passed away in 2022 at just 3 months old, I started to create jewelry as part of my healing journey. In the beginning it was really just a hobby to spark a little bit of joy - creating bracelets and necklaces for myself and close loved ones. I realized how much it filled my cup to focus on something I enjoyed, not letting my mind wander... and in the end creating something beautiful. All gold and a lot of suns! I love wearing something that represented Sonny, even in the smallest of ways. I realized that creating handmade jewelry in honor of Sonny's light and love was just what I needed. These delicate pieces made with the most unconditional, precious love spreads his golden Sonshine...adding brightness to your day and warmth to your soul.
Rise + Shine Bakehouse
My name is Kaylee, I am the sole owner & home baker for Rise & Shine Bakehouse.
I’m holding down the fort here at home with 2 boys who are almost 5 (Isaiah) & 2.5 years old (Levi) They keep me on my toes, believe me! I am happily married to my hubby, Brennan. We met 9 years ago & he will tell you he doesn’t love sweets but I’m pretty sure he lines up first to taste test almost everything I make.
My love of baking started early, always helping in the kitchen with my mom. Anything she didn’t pass off to me I have learned through countless hours of Food Network, following others who love to cook or bake, and of course lots of hands on trial and error batches that most of the time still wind up being pretty tasty. My sourdough starter, Greta, came from a sparked interest just over 3 years ago in the start of 2023. I was newly pregnant with my youngest, just starting out my days as a stay at home momma. But I also love to make French macarons, cake pops & more!
Baking is my happy place, and one I can show my creative side too! Someday I would LOVE to have a food trailer & pop around wherever I wanted to go. For now, my family keeps me busy at home here in West Bend.

Repeated Rhythms
After having our daughter, Elodie, I started to make her clothing & immediately began getting all kinds of positive feedback. It was then that I decided to take a leap out of my comfort zone and expand my hobby into this company. I wanted her clothing to be able to move as much as she does, be comfortable enough to go on long hikes and cozy enough to watch some evening cartoons. I also needed something to keep the hair out of my face that I wouldn't need to constantly be adjusting while taking care of my kiddos - and so the headbands were born.
Many of us live our lives in 'repeated rhythms'. Wake-up, shower, eat, work, walk the dog, sleep, repeat. Managing a chronic condition can be the same checks & balances day in & day out (I'm a type 1 diabetic) as well. Being a parent is often the same daily routines only with tiny, disaster creating monsters, we love so much.
My hand-made products are here to be that reminder - to enjoy the little things in life and break out of those Repeated Rhythms.
